When I got wheels the sticker that came with wheels for tires size and psi said 245-35-19 I was confused why Honda recommends that size for the glints and 235 -40 for the stock sports.
Thanks! Yeah that is odd. The larger size helps ride quality and traction so it's a win win
Hey man can I use 245/40/19 in front and 225/40/19 in rear on honda accord 2018 sports
How many miles did the OEM goodyear last before it started wearing out?
Got 22k out of them
@@farhadk4920 no they were shot that's why i changed them
why you didn't go with 255/40/19 ?
Would be too tall of a side wall, plus will buldge out on sides. 255/35/19 would be the correct aspect ratio for that size.
@@DanVilla7 I am about to buy tires on my 18 accord sport I have spacers 25/30mm I think 255's gonna stick out too much, I'd go with 245's just like you, what you think?
@@miltonbernal7344 I think it's a good move I did it. If you want wider go 255/35/19 like I said previously
@@DanVilla7 I think 245 would be wide enough, I don't want my car looks like go kart lol
I ifell my 2019 Honda sport to hard on big holes with 235/40/19 I want to try upgrade
It will make all the difference
Nice tires! I've had performance Generals before and loved them, but also felt they wore faster possibly because the rubber they use is a tad softer. I wanted to ask you have you had any rubbing during turning luck to lock with the wider tires & spacers?
Thanks! I haven't had an issue with rubbing under any circumstance with this setup. The car is also lowered on H&R Sport Springs
@@DanVilla7 Awesome...thanks for the info. I'm running the Eibach lowering springs that are similar and no spacers. I'll probably go with the 245 size on my next set of tires. Thank you sir!
Are those the xl load range? Thank for the video , I'd like to know cause I just ordered them
Yes mine are
@@DanVilla7 i love the tires !! Size 245 instread of the oem 235 is the way to go!! When im turning i dont feel like im gonna digg into the rims!!! Good safe feeling
Can you get this tire size without modifications?
Absolutely
Can 245 fit in the stock rims that it comes with? Isn’t stock tire 235 for accord?
These are the stock wheels. It's just an upsize
would u happen to know the weight of your rim and tire?
I believe they are around 60lbs give or take. These tires were actually 1lb less than the oem Goodyears according to tirerack
@@DanVilla7 thx alot
My car is not equipped with 20mm spacers, can I use 245/40r19?
absolutely!
Nice car bro , Why u didn’t go wider ? I have the same car I’am thinking to go 265/35/19
Thanks! The car is Stage 2 and I'm having traction issues. A 265/35/19 on the oem wheel will be too wide going to need aftermarket wheels for that
Do these rub in front? I know factory tires are 235 40 r19 .. i was thinking of going with 245
No rubbing at all and I'm lowered
Hello! What kind of tire shine do you use ?
Turtle wax wet and black tire shine. I just grabbed it one day because it was cheap. Turns out it works pretty well.

@@DanVilla7 thank you !
what was the tire size of the old tires?
235/40/19
I have those on my 6-6 07 sedan, they're nice tires for the price, also are you still on the eibach pro springs? your car looks lower
Yes still on my H&R sports. The slightly larger sidewall seemed to fill a little more of the wheel gap.
I like the fact they say 45k miles treat my last 20k normal driving
How wide are the stock wheels?
They are 8.5" wide
Tires look sharp 😍 how much were they? My Malibu takes the same size. Also, I appreciate a clean car 😂
Thanks! I got them for $185 a tire mounted and balanced. Yeah man gotta keep em clean, dirt drives me nuts!
@@DanVilla7 Shortly after buying my car I purchased a set of Pirelli Cinturato Strada Sport all season tires and they ended up being $980 out the door 😭 not doing that again. I’ll be waiting for your full review to see how those grip. I’m sick of spinning off the line 😂
Look sweet my man ... Those tints looks sick
Thank you!
Hey man just wondering can I run 255/45 tires on a 18x8 wheels on my 19 accord?(I understand it will have a slight bulge but I’m okay with that, mainly concerned on fitment and rubbing)
Here a link to a tire size calculator . This should help you figure it out

@@DanVilla7 thanks man it helped.
Hey I just got a accord sport 2017 with 245/45r18s tires and every time that I go through a bump I can hear the tires rubbing against something... can anyone tell me why? Also for some reason the previous owner put snow tires in the rear... ( it's a FWD 🤷♂️)
All depends if you have aftermarket wheels with a different offset or even aftermarket suspension.
Sounds like an open cockpit🙃
I’m copying!
Hahah nice
Really awesome thanks.. I'm looking for new tires.
Just bought my wife a 2020 with 24000 miles on it.
Drop in a drop in K&N filter.
running mid grade.
Bout to get the K tune stage 2.
I'm 45 generation X.
I don't think you can do better than this 4 door grocery getter as a sleeper!
I'm down in Palm Coast Florida.
I can't tell you how many people we see from New Jersey here!lol!
You should come on down the only thing looked down upon is voting for democrats.
When running a tune, only run premium fuel. I'm from NY Jersey is another world.... haha
why didn't you go with a 255-40-19? Those would have fit a stock rim... and would be wider also.
Didn't want too much tire buldge from the sides and the sidewall would have been taller. 255/35/19 would be better but still may have some buldge
235/40/19 correction.
You just added more weight to a already heavy rims in a 4 cylinder car
I'm sorry but you are incorrect. The oem Goodyears in 235 40 19 weigh 25lbs. This General Gmax AS-05 245 40 19 weighs 24lbs so the would be 1lb less per corner
Dude, the wind. Couldn't even hear
Yeah a few parts got a little rough. Mother nature wouldn't cooperate with me lol
i got these on my 2010 535i xdrive they are GOOD for the money.. not better then Michelin..
What a horrible audio! Otherwise an interesting video.
Could I go 255/40/19 winter tires on stock rims? Thanks
Yeah there are some people running that size. The side wall and overall diameter will be greater
@@DanVilla7 how ya doin brother. I have a 2019 accord touring. Will winter tires...225/45/19 fit on the Touring OEM rims or is that tire to narrow. The car comes with 234/40/19...thanks
